Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By accessing or using the MediEazy website (medieazy.co.za) or the MediEazy platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or platform.
1. About MediEazy
MediEazy is a cloud-based medical practice management platform owned and operated by Leiten Technologies (P) Ltd., ("Leiten", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in India. Our head office address is in Chennai, India, and we serve medical practices primarily in South Africa.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into binding agreements on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent. The platform is intended for use by registered medical professionals, medical practices, hospitals, and their authorised staff.
3. Your account
When you create a MediEazy account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your account credentials confidential
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access or security breach
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of South African law
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its underlying systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the platform's source code
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the platform without our written consent
- Use the platform to send unsolicited communications (spam) to patients or third parties
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity
5. Subscription & payment
Use of the MediEazy platform is subject to a subscription fee, billed in South African Rand (ZAR). Your subscription plan, fees, and billing intervals will be specified in your order form or subscription agreement.
- Fees are payable in advance for the chosen billing period
- Late or failed payments may result in suspension of your account
- We may update pricing with 30 days' written notice
- Trial periods, if offered, expire after the stated duration
6. Payment Processing via PayFast
Payment Gateway: Payments for consultations and services on MediEazy are processed by PayFast (Pty) Ltd, a licensed South African payment gateway regulated by the South African Reserve Bank.
6.1 Payment Method & Security
MediEazy does not store your card details. All payment information is processed directly by PayFast using PCI DSS security standards.
6.2 Service Description & Provider Terms
Each Provider sets their own fees and appointment policies. The exact fee and cancellation terms for your appointment will be shown at checkout before payment. Appointment fees relate to booking and consultation time with the selected Provider.
6.3 Transaction Receipts
After successful payment, you will receive a payment confirmation on MediEazy and an appointment confirmation with your Provider's details.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
7.1 Provider-Specific Policies
Cancellation and refund rules on MediEazy are set individually by each Provider, as appointment types, consultation formats, and clinic operating policies differ.
The specific cancellation window, refund percentage, and no-show rule for your appointment will always be shown to you at checkout, before you pay, and forms part of what you accept when you tick the payment terms checkbox.
7.2 Cancellation Framework
Provider policies on MediEazy typically include:
Patient-Initiated Cancellation
A full or partial refund depending on how far in advance you cancel relative to the Provider's
stated cancellation window (e.g. 24 hours, 48 hours, or 7 days).
No-Show
Typically non-refundable, unless the Provider states otherwise. A "no-show" means the
appointment time passed and you did not show up or cancel in advance.
Provider-Initiated Cancellation or Rescheduling
If the Provider cancels or reschedules (e.g. due to practitioner unavailability), you will be
offered a full refund or a free rebooking, at your choice.
After the Consultation Has Taken Place
The consultation fee is generally non-refundable regardless of outcome, unless the Provider's
own policy states otherwise.
7.3 How to Request Cancellation or Refund
Using the MediEazy Platform: Log into your account, go to "My Appointments", find the appointment, and click "Cancel Appointment". The system will automatically check the Provider's cancellation window and show whether a refund applies.
Direct Contact: Contact your Provider directly using the contact details shown on your appointment confirmation email.

7.4 Refund Processing Timeline
- Refund initiation: Within 1–2 business days of cancellation approval
- Bank processing: 3–5 business days (depending on your bank)
Note: Refunds are returned to your original payment method via PayFast. If a refund doesn't appear within 7 business days, contact MediEazy support with your transaction reference.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, text, graphics, and code on the MediEazy platform and website are the exclusive property of Leiten Technologies (P) Ltd. or are licensed to Leiten by third parties.
You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information or services obtained from MediEazy without our prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEDIEAZY AND LEITEN TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
MEDIEAZY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MEDIEAZY IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Leiten Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the MediEazy platform or website
- Your breach of these Terms of Use
- Your infringement of any intellectual property rights
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
11. Termination
MediEazy may terminate or suspend your account and access to the platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if you breach these Terms of Use or violate any applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE MEDIEAZY PLATFORM AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
LEITEN TECHNOLOGIES DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising from or relating to these terms shall be exclusively brought in the courts of South Africa.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
